Consider the Nicotine Level
If you don’t smoke or are a light smoker, it’s best to stick with low nicotine levels (6 milligrams or less).
Medium nicotine levels (9-16 milligrams) are better for average smokers, and high nicotine levels (18-36 milligrams) are meant for those who are heavy smokers.
PG to VG Ratio
The base of most e-juice products is either vegetable glycerol (or VG) or propylene glycol (or PG). Some e-juices also are made with a combination of the two.
Both are good, but they have different effects.
E-juice made with propylene glycol has more of a flavor but results in a weaker vapor. Products made with vegetable glycerol has a sweeter taste and minimize the other flavors in the product, but they produce more vapor.
If you’re using an e-juice that contains a combination of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerol, check the ratio before you buy. 40:60 PG to VG is the most common ratio.
Consider Your Budget
In the long run, vaping is more cost-effective than smoking. If you waste a ton of money buying different e-juices, though, you’re going to end up spending a lot more.

If possible, try to sample the e-juice you’re considering before you buy it.
This will help you know it’s a good fit for you without having to spend your hard-earned money on a product you don’t even like.
