The word “cannabis” has been associated with drugs for many years. Indeed, some varieties of this plant produce a psychoactive substance (marijuana), which stimulates the part of the brain responsible for the hormones of happiness (endorphins). Although endorphin is produced not only with the drug impact. There are means to get joy legally, for example travelling or driving a luxury car. You don’t even have to choose – you may enjoy beautiful places while renting a luxury car. Renting is especially convenient if you do not use the car every day and it is really reasonable to refer to a car rental company when you travel. You can easily find how to rent a Rolls-Royce in Dubai or any other car model.
We’d like to share a few examples of the benefits of cannabis and where it is used.
For centuries, industrial hemp has been a popular raw material for making fabric. Today, the number of people who consciously choose an eco-friendly lifestyle is growing, and clothing made from natural fabrics is gaining more and more fans. Therefore, hemp clothing returns its relevance. Environmental friendliness – that’s the reason for its popularity. Environmentalists believe that a cannabis renaissance could help to resist global warming.
According to experts, the production of hemp fabric requires 4 times less water than cotton. At the same time, at the stage of growing this variety of hemp, rain watering is enough: it does not need to build irrigation facilities and modify the natural landscape.
From an equal area of cultivated land, 4 times more hemp fabric can be produced than cotton. Therefore, hemp saves the earth’s resources. In addition, hemp takes more carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere than is released during the subsequent production of hemp products.
When growing industrial hemp, pesticides and herbicides are not required, unlike the same cotton. Therefore, hemp fabric, the fibres of which are grown without chemicals, is anti-allergenic.
Paper is also made from hemp. At the same time, 3-4 times more paper is obtained from technical hemp from a piece of land than from wood. It also contributes to the conservation of forests. Since the hemp stalk is based on a woody base, raw materials for lumber are obtained from it, saving wood.
A very long time ago, namely in 1941, Henry Ford produced the first car, the body of which was made of special plastic using hemp. It should be noted that in strength this body was not inferior to metal.
Ford’s follower was the Canadian company Motive Industries Inc. released, as they say, “The Greenest Car”. To create the body of the Kestrel, hemp stalks were pressed, which were then filled with a special biopolymer. The result was a very flexible and at the same time quite durable biocomposite, which, in terms of its characteristics, is in no way inferior to carbon fibre, from which parts of sports car bodies are made.
In terms of weight and speed, the Kestrel came out quite light – just over 1 tonne. Thanks to this, its electric motor can accelerate the car up to 90 km/h, and the battery charge is enough for 160 km.
The seeds of the cannabis plant are used as a raw material for automotive fuels and lubricants.
Hemp is rich in chlorophyll. In its structure, this substance is similar to human haemoglobin. That is why hemp products help to restore blood, fight viruses and help maintain immunity. Chlorophyll has another important property – it binds and removes free radicals and toxic metals from the body. Thus, hemp oil becomes an effective tool in the fight against premature ageing.
Hemp is a storehouse of Omega-3 and Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and they counteract cholesterol deposits on the walls of blood vessels, and participate in protecting the body from blood clots.
The amino acids contained in hemp seeds accelerate the production of collagen, help saturate cells with energy, help rejuvenate the skin and strengthen hair. This is a real beauty elixir!
As you can see, hemp is a valuable plant with a wide range of uses. It is used in the weaving industry. The plant has also been used in the food industry. Hemp contains a huge amount of useful components. You can use it added to food, you can use it separately or in derivative products. The seed oil is obtained by cold pressing. Hemp extract is widely used as an ingredient in cosmetics and medicines. The oil is a good source of antioxidants.
